Build the property platform we wished existed
UK lettings runs on software that most of the people using it quietly resent. We are building the alternative, and we would rather hear from one person who cares about that problem than a hundred who do not.
What we are building
LeaseUp covers the whole property lifecycle: winning instructions, referencing tenants, collecting rent, triaging maintenance and tracking compliance across all four UK nations. The interesting part is that none of it is one problem. Lettings law is devolved, every agency works slightly differently, and the AI has to assist without ever quietly making a decision that a person is legally answerable for.
How we work
- Small team, short path from an idea to something real in front of users
- Craft over volume. We would rather ship one considered thing than three rough ones
- Regular hackathons, because the best ideas rarely turn up during sprint planning
- TypeScript on the front end, Laravel on the back, running on AWS
- AI that drafts and suggests, with a person approving before anything happens
- Accessibility and performance treated as part of the work, not a later pass
